Geesh January is flying by. We are having our first snow of the year. It cold and blowing. It was a good day to stay home and create. I made this set of very grungy Valentine hearts. Simple and dirty. I like how they truned out. I started doing an bit of wholesale to shops last fall and I am swamped with spring orders. Havent had a lot of time to work on new stuff. I feel very blessed with all the orders and wonder what have I gotten myself into. Im going to give it a year and see how it goes. I also have to be ready for a show in March. the year is off with a bang. Hope all is well with my blogging friends.

My holiday garlands have been a huge hit this year. Im making another batch right now. They are about 19 inches long and have snow winter flakes on them. You can put them on your xmas tree, on wreaths and arrangements. They are perfect for those small trees. You just tuck them on the branches here and there.

Im trying something new htis year. I love to use old salvaged finds in my prims and create primitive holiday decor. This year IM making the barnwood display hangers with shelf and simple wreath or star and you can decorate the shelf with a prim of your choosing. Basicaly nothing is attatched, you put your own design together.

I wish it was that easy. Here is the head all finishd up. Many of my cretions are not planned ahead, they just evolve. I did plan the witches and the scarecrow on the shovel. The rest were from heads that were the wrong segments. I think they turned out the best. Im not good at making prim scarecrows but I like how these turned out.

New Primitive Salvaged Fall Items

Remember the unfinished shutters? Here they are all done for fall. I made the first box using an old cheesebox. Its reversible , has HOmespun Harvest on the other side. You can take out the fixins and put in xmas stuff. I love the old wood box. I added a barb wire handle. Very prim and simple. Its filled wiht my flat pumpkin bowl fillers. Note to self- barb wire is hard to cut!

Remember the works in progress? The two galvanized funnels are now a with and pumpkin man. I made a Pogo Pumpinman using and old rusty Pogo Stick and the Paddle with a frog was perfect for a witch. I love making these OOAK's!

I got this beautiful table at a sale last weekend on 150 between St. Joe and Ogden. These ladies have a sale several times a year and have the best stuff. If your local dont miss it. Been getting a jump start on holiday. These fellas turned out great. I thought about them them last year but ran out of time. Santa and snowman can come out of the bag and be used as a sitter or hang in the bag. Santa is 10 inches tall and snowman is 12 inches tall. In the bag they are 15 and 17 inches tall.

The green pot is an old ice bucket, I havnt seen one of those before. I love the old post and the green worn board thing is an old table top. I'll look for an old base to put it on. May use it for my cash table at the shows.

Morning. Its a beautiful sunny morning here. We had a nice beak from the incredible heat the last few days. Its still cool but the heat is moving back in. I just finished these fellas up for my hoilday line. Its been 90 here and Im making snowmen, seems crazy. These are made of grungy felt and are 18 inches tall. 28.50 plus shipping. They will be made to order.

Less than two weeks before a show!! I did manage to get a few things finished to day. I seem to aways have so much in the works. Its gratifying to see something finished. The saltbox is painted on a salvaged cabinet door. the stupm dolls are new this year. The bunnies have poseable ears and sheep wool tails. Should they get stick legs or leave them laying?
